This recipe for Low-Carb Easy Grilled Jalapeño Burgers adds flavor and spice to a picnic classic. This recipe doesn't use any breading, so it can be part of a low-carb, keto, gluten-free, grain-free or Banting diet. Make it dairy-free and Whole-30 compliant by simply leaving off the cheese.
Preheat grill to medium-high. Place all ingredients, except for optional toppings, in a medium mixing bowl.
Mix ingredients together. It's easiest to use clean hands for this.
Divide mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
Place patties on the preheated grill. Close the lid and turn heat to low.
When the patties are cooked halfway through (about 5 minutes), turn patties and close grill.
When burgers are cooked through, place one slice of cheese on top of each patty. Close the top of the grill and allow cheese to melt. This only takes a minute or so.
Remove from grill and serve with condiments of choice. Suggestions include avocado slices, salsa, sour cream, guacamole, additional onions, or mayonnaise.
