This smoothie can be altered to fit your diet plan. This recipe can be made dairy-free by substituting coconut cream (from a can) for the heavy whipping cream. If you’d like more protein to start the day, add a bit of protein powder.

 

 Most people who follow  a low-carb lifestyle will have everything they need for this recipe. This smoothie can be made with fresh or frozen strawberries, but the frozen strawberries give it a thicker consistency. You can also use whatever sweetener you like and have on hand. Keep in mind that the sweetener I use is twice as sweet as sugar, so the amount may need to be adjusted.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream (or coconut cream for dairy-free)
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened original almond milk (or milk of choice)
  • 2 teaspoons granulated stevia/erythritol blend (Pyure)
  • 4 ounces frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender. Pulse until blended, scraping down sides if necessary. Pour into two tall glasses and serve.
